A new project: Garden 2!

After finishing my first game, Garden: Urada Chapter , earlier this year, I set my sights on the next project (pretending I wasn't already planning it during the previous one!). The new project is Garden 2. The 2 being a temporary name while I'm figuring out a more fitting name. It is a short action RPG featuring a small bit of story and one level to play through with a boss battle at the end. The game will be made with Unreal Engine 5 and feature 2.5D graphics. This means pixel art sprites and textures in a 3D world. The game's story follows the protagonists from the first game, the crew of the Garden Alliance ship  Flower,  on their mission to planet Unu'qu, where they are to assist with problems with a local pirate gang. There's not much to show on UE5 just yet as I've only done the level prototype and character movement. The 8-directional sprite is quite a bit of work, for a first-timer at least. The idle, walk, and jumping animations already have 120 frame...

Testing out blogger

First test post on blogger to see if I can get it working the way I hoped! Up to this point, the devlogs I have on my portfolio site had each post created manually. While it is a low effort, it feels a bit silly. Also, the devlog is limited to each project page and I didn't really have a way to post something that isn't directly related to any of my projects without creating a separate blog. So I figured I'd try a more blog-friendly service for my devlogs. In the best case, I can embed the new blog to each of my project pages while only showing the related posts. Time to publish the post and see how it all turns out... Test image
